Quebec burglaries: Police reveal identity of suspect –

Quebec police are finally asking the public for help in finding the suspected thief who has been haunting La Cité-Limoilou for several weeks.

Marie-Pier Rivard, spokeswoman for the Quebec City Police Department (SPVQ), confirmed Tuesday morning that there is an arrest warrant for Éric Normandin.

The 37-year-old man has been linked to more than fifteen burglaries in the area since the beginning of September.

The Journal also spoke with several of his victims who were unfortunate enough to receive his “visit” more than once within a short period of time.

In addition to taking money from the cash register or safe when possible, the man also reportedly caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage by attempting to break into the establishment.

Éric Normandin is around 1.83 m tall and weighs around 77 kg. He has short brown hair, blue eyes and wears glasses.

“The latter would still be very active and could be found in the same district,” states Ms. Rivard.
