Marco Rubio asks to revoke visas of foreigners who support Hamas Latest news from Cuba and Cubans around the world

The Cuban-American Senator Marco Rubio proposed revoking the visas of foreign citizens in the United States who support the terrorist group Hamas, which is responsible for a series of attacks against Israel.

The Republican’s comments came following demonstrations across the US in support of the Palestinian terrorist group.

In this sense, Marco Rubio considered that this measure should be aimed at any person who publicly expresses support for Hamas, regardless of their level of education.

“Firstly, there is a law in the country that says if you are a supporter of a designated terrorist group, you will not be accepted for a visa, for students, as a teacher, as a tourist, etc. ” Rubio, current Florida state senator, said in statements to Fox News.

“This week we saw people marching in the universities and on the streets of our country, etc., calling for the intifada (Palestinian uprising), celebrating what Hamas did and justifying what Hamas did. These are Hamas supporters.” “The people who are here with visas have to go,” he added.

It should be recalled that the Palestinian jihadist group has been designated a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union and Israel.

On October 7, terrorists attacked Israel, causing at least 1,400 Israeli deaths, mostly civilians, and even committing gruesome acts such as the beheading of 40 babies.

On this suggestion from Marco Rubio, the Cuban moderator, Alex Otaolabelieved that this should be the position the United States should take toward terrorists.

Recently, the Cuban-American senator criticized Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro for not condemning Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israel.
