Russian attack in Zaporizhia, at least two dead
Two people were killed and at least four injured in a Russian airstrike on the city of Zaporizhzhia, regional officials said. “Search and rescue operations are underway at the scene,” said Anatoliy Kurtiev, secretary of the city council. According to Yuri Malashko, governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, eight residential buildings were damaged. Hours earlier, a Russian official attributed the attacks in the city to Ukrainian forces. The city of Zaporizhzhia is the administrative center of the larger Zaporizhzhia region in southeastern Ukraine, which is now partially controlled by Russia.
