The manufacturers are fighting the biggest battle in the mid-range smartphone segment. The one that consists of offering the best features at the lowest possible price. In this little game, Motorola seems to have gotten a head start.
A few weeks ago, the manufacturer presented the Edge40 Neo, a smartphone that has exemplary features given its price of 399 euros. In addition, the American brand is offering you a pair of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II headphones worth 295 euros with its Edge40 Neo until November 12th.
Premium design, waterproof, 144Hz AMOLED screen: every detail counts
Although the Motorola Edge40 Neo is available for under 400 euros, it is full of nice surprises. From the elegant design to the remarkable display quality, the American brand has not left out any detail.
This thin and light smartphone is 7.9 mm thick and weighs a feather-light 172 grams. Thanks to the vegetable leather back, it also feels very soft. Motorola offers it in three original and exclusive shades developed in collaboration with color specialist Pantone: Soothing Sea Blue, Caneel Bay Green and Black Beauty Black.

To perfect this already stylish design, the company has equipped the edge40 Neo with a magnificent 6.5-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED screen, which also benefits from a refresh rate of 144 Hz. This level of equipment is usually reserved for premium models. A Dolby Atmos compatible dual speaker system is also included to provide a sound experience even without headphones.
Motorola has also focused on robustness with its new addition. The American brand has chosen Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the panel and promises water and dust resistance (IP68 certification) for this smartphone. The Edge40 Neo can follow you anywhere, at the pool or during your running session.
Additionally, since this smartphone is powered by a large 5000mAh battery, it can last for more than a day under normal usage. If necessary, refueling takes just a few minutes thanks to 68W TurboPower charging. The smartphone also comes with the 68W charger and a protective case with a plant design.
Ultra-sharp photos and videos
Even though the Motorola Edge40 Neo is beautiful, this smartphone doesn’t lack in performance either as it comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 chip and 12GB of RAM.

By opting for such a configuration, Motorola was able to bring some advancements in photography. In this point, the American brand has focused primarily on sharpness, combining the 50 megapixel main sensor with a double optical image stabilizer, suitable for both photography and videos (4K). This gives you complete freedom of movement while filming. Even if you shake the smartphone or accidentally turn it slightly, the output remains stable, sharp and level.
In addition, the American brand has worked to improve the quality of night photos. The night vision mode is then enhanced by Motorola’s Instant All-Pixel Focus technology, which is responsible for quick focusing even in the dark. Night photos then gain in brightness and sharpness, whether with the main sensor or with the 13-megapixel sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots.
Motorola has also thought about selfie lovers and equipped its Edge40 Neo with a beautiful 32-megapixel front camera, a rare advantage in such an affordable smartphone.
To top it all off, the brand gives you a nice 256GB storage space as standard. Enough to test all your talents as a budding photographer and videographer without restrictions.
Free Bose headphones
The edge40 Neo, introduced in mid-September, is now available in the Motorola online shop for the affordable price of 399 euros. For any order placed before November 12, the American brand will offer you a pair of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II headphones worth 295 euros.
