Lucas Lima revealed in an interview with Marie Claire that he didn’t anticipate all the repercussions of the end of his 15year marriage Sandy. He said it was difficult to deal with the public reaction.
“It was a little surprising. We didn’t expect it to be this big, nor did we expect it to be this negative. But we were determined. We’ve talked a lot. We love each other very much and are best friends. We have a beautiful son and are determined to give lots of love, affection and the best possible creation,” he said.

“What surprised me was how intense some of the reactions from people were. But it’s over. Things seem quieter now. I couldn’t shield myself. I didn’t shield myself. I suffered like hell. It was really hard. Now the focus is on.” “It’s our biggest project, being our son. And maintaining this incredible relationship that we have built for 24 years,” he added.
