Salzburg Airport’s new winter flight schedule offers a surprise to Salzburg’s sun-starved residents: the connection to the Egyptian seaside resort of Marsa Alam is new to the program, while the “classic” year-round connections to European cities remain unchanged.

All year round we travel from Salzburg to Hurghada (Egypt) and, starting next winter, we will also travel to Marsa Alam, on the Red Sea, 300 kilometers further south. To escape the cold, there are also flights to the Canary Islands – Gran Canaria and Tenerife – until the end of April.
City trips continue to be popular with many Salzburgers. There are direct connections from Salzburg to London, Dublin or Manchester (all in Great Britain), as well as to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven (all in the Netherlands). According to airport spokesman Alexander Klaus, “traditional routes” are also very popular. The metropolises of Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Cologne (Germany) are popular destinations.
There are also year-round connections to the Serbian capital, Belgrade. International hubs such as Istanbul (Turkey) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates) can also be reached from Salzburg.
