The MTV Europe Music Awards have been canceled due to security concerns and “the state of the world” amid the war between Israel and Hamas.

The 30th annual music event is one of the industry’s biggest awards shows and was scheduled to take place in Paris on November 5th at the Paris Nord Villepinte.

But a source told the Mail: “It is with a heavy heart that the event is canceled due to security concerns and the ongoing conflict.”

The annual Starfest features dazzling performances from the biggest artists in the industry. The event will be broadcast live on MTV in over 150 countries.

Had this year’s event taken place, it would have been the first time in 28 years that the EMAs would have been held in the French capital.
