Between Justin Trudeau and Yves-François Blanchet, Quebecers are clearly ill-served in Ottawa.
Trudeau did it again with a statement worthy of his usual theater of the absurd. On the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, he had the audacity to claim that his government was “working to make life more affordable.”
More affordable? Really? The Prime Minister definitely has a great sense of humor!
Let’s remember that for eight years he pulled out the checkbook faster than his shadow. He imagines that he can buy wealth by spending tens of billions. However, it was the huge deficits and the debt explosion financed by the Bank of Canada that opened Pandora’s Box.
To make matters worse, Trudeau introduced a second carbon tax that will increase the price of gasoline by 17 cents per liter. However, due to the impact of this tax on the price of everything we consume, the cost of living will only rise and more families will be forced onto the streets.
As for the Bloc Québécois, it has joined forces with the Liberals even though it is supposed to defend our interests. He not only supports this tax, but also considers it inadequate and calls for an increase. Although this tax does not apply to Quebec and whatever the bloc says, it still has an impact – albeit minimal – on inflation, which does not bode well for Quebecers in the current context.
And when the Conservative Party had the intelligence to submit two proposals opposing this tax, the bloc voted against it.
deficit
That makes no sense.
The Liberals say they are “working to make life more affordable” but are pursuing impoverishment policies. And bloc members who claim to be “defending” the province are approving a tax that will further impoverish Quebecers in order to fill Ottawa’s coffers.
We had a budget deficit problem. Now, when you look at the Trudeau-Blanchet tandem, there is also a lack of common sense. Fortunately, the latter could be easily resolved in the next elections!
