Zooey Deschanel treated her two adorable kids to a fun hike in Los Angeles on Friday.
The Elf star, 43, was spotted with daughter Elsie, 8, and son Charlie, 6 – who she shares with ex-husband Jacob Pechenik – as they enjoyed a sunny afternoon on the outskirts of Tinseltown.
Wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and a blue and white striped dress, the gorgeous actress performed a balancing act by holding a drink in one hand and a green tote bag in the other.
She paired the simple yet chic look with a black shoulder bag, white stockings and ballet flats.
Elsie looked as cute as a button in her red dress with the matching bow in her hair, while Charlie kicked her bum up in an adorable dinosaur T-shirt.

In 2019, Zooey and Jacob separated after four years of marriage.
“After much discussion and a long period of reflection, we have come to the conclusion that we are better off as friends, business partners and co-parents than as life partners,” they said in a statement at the time. “We remain committed to our company, our values and, most importantly, our children.”
The New Girl star and her film producer began dating in 2014, got engaged in early 2015 and married shortly after.
Zooey went on maternity leave from New Girl after the birth of her first child and Megan Fox was temporarily hired as a new character.
The comedian has fallen in love with Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott and the two recently gave their first interview since their engagement.
The couple told People magazine in early October that they had not yet started planning their wedding but were already living together in Los Angeles.
And they say they get along because the actress and the handyman are so different.
“Opposites attract,” Zooey said.

But they agreed that they have one thing in common: they are both “nerds.”
The couple, who met while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke in 2019, updated their relationship status to “engaged” in August.
The interior designer spared no expense on the epic proposal, popping the question to the leading lady of (500) Days of Summer at a castle in Scotland.
Jonathan explained to PEOPLE what he loved about his bride-to-be, gushing that she’s “someone who makes you get through the tough moments.”
He also added that the She & Him singer was someone he “never saw coming.”

The couple revealed that they have not yet planned anything regarding their upcoming wedding.
The petite singer explained: “We were just basking in engaged bliss and not really figuring anything out.”
The couple now lives together in a house in Los Angeles and is looking forward to the future, years after their first date in an escape room.
Noting how much she liked how he sent her an itinerary for the date, Zooey quipped, “I thought, ‘This is my dream. ‘I’m a Capricorn.’
Although no date or location has been set for their wedding, the couple added, “We love having a party.”
