Guy Laliberté is selling his castle in Outremont for more than $13 million

Former chef and founder of Cirque du Soleil, Guy Laliberté, has put his magnificent residence in the Outremont district up for sale, 17 years after buying it.

The Maplewood Street castle was purchased by the businessman for $2.5 million in October 2006 and has been for sale on the REALTOR.ca website since Thursday. Listed for $13.88 million, the luxury residence has eight bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Between 2007 and 2009, the billionaire carried out extensive renovations and expansions of the building, which was built in 1930.

Located very close to Mount Royal, the residence owned by Guy Laliberté through a trust is worth almost $9 million, according to a 2021 valuation.

Note that the billionaire also owns a residence in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville worth $4.5 million.
