A curious competition called beer sliding and 28 shows enliven the second Saturday of the Blumenau Oktoberfest 2023. There are performances by traditional bands such as Os Montanari, Cavalinho and also Tim Toupet, the German sensation of the party.

The weekend promises once again full pavilions at Parque Vila Germânica and we recommend revelers to purchase tickets in advance. The gates open at 11 a.m. and entry is free until 1 p.m.

Beer sliding, in which revelers have to push a full beer mug as far as possible, takes place at Spaten Garten, the food court in October. The goal is not only to reach the greatest distance possible without dropping the container to the ground, but also to spill as little of the group’s sacred liquid as possible. The world record is one of them from Sao Paulo Ricardo Scroback7.51 meters long.

According to the organization of the event, which produces Spaten, the official beer of Oktoberfest, it is necessary to “make the mug slide smoothly, accuracy and balance are essential.” This Saturday (21) the competition will take place at 8 p.m. On Sunday (22) it is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Program full of attractions

In addition to the fun and games, there are dozens of shows and presentations that liven up both the party’s pavilions and outdoor area. For example, in Sector 1 there is Os Montanari at 8pm and Cavalinho at 10:45pm. In Sector 2, Tim Toupet rocks the stages at 10 p.m. At Spatenplatz, the Hochsollerlebenband around guitarist Mazin Silva took over the microphones in the early hours of the morning at 1:45 a.m.
