The Philadelphia Phillies completely dominated action in Game 5 of the National Championship Series, winning 6-1 at Chase Field on Saturday night.
With this win, the Phillies are just one win away from reaching the World Series, leading their matchup 3-2 thanks to this win. On Friday evening, the “D-Backs” failed to regain the energy that enabled them to stage a victorious comeback.

In the win, Bryce Harper notably hit a bomb in the sixth inning. He also added three hits to his busy night. Phillies starter Zack Wheeler (2-0) was relentless, striking out eight hitters.
Once again, the Arizona players weren’t realistic about what cost them dearly. They brought the ball to safety eight times, only once less than their rivals.
Five Diamondbacks players took the mound during the game, but none really managed to limit the damage, allowing three home runs.
Alek Thomas achieved the only Grand Slam for the Arizona team.
Philadelphia will have the opportunity to finish work on Monday at home at Citizens Bank Park.
