MEXICO CITY.- Some of the most important Hollywood stars, such as: George Clooney either Scarlett Johanssonthey have suggested paying up to 150 million dollars in the next three years to the US Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRAin English) to end the strike that they have been maintaining ever since July 14th.
The proposal, published on the Deadline website on Thursday, was rejected by the president of SAG-AFTRA, Fran Drescheras this is not compatible with the collective agreement that the union wants to achieve with the studios.
Clooney, Johansson, Emma Stone, Ben Affleck and Tyler Perryhave offered, among other things, to lift the cap on union dues for its highest-paid stars Hollywoodcurrently based in 1 million dollarsto increase funding for pensions and health benefits.
Actors come together to encourage contributions to the union
The actors assume that the SAG-AFTRA rGet $50 million more per year or $150 million in three years.

The actor added Hollywood stars think it’s “fair” that they pay the union more and that the proposal is a sign that “they are united” and that they want to find formulas to reduce the wage gap.
