The USA has been preventing the implementation of decisions on the international protection of the Palestinian people for years.

Tel Aviv, October 20 (RHC) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas refused to speak by telephone with his American counterpart Joe Biden because that country supported Israel in the war against the Gaza Strip, public broadcaster Khan announced on Thursday.

According to the source, the conversation was supposed to have taken place on Wednesday, after Biden’s arrival in this country.

White House officials tried to arrange a telephone conversation between the two, but Abbas rejected the request, Khan said, citing an anonymous Palestinian source in Ramallah with knowledge of the matter.

The Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper revealed this week that the United States’ support for Israel in its war provoked the ire of the Palestinian government, which denounced Washington’s biased stance.

Palestinian sources told the newspaper that current relations between Washington and Ramallah are extremely strained due to the White House’s support for its key Middle East ally.

According to them, Joe Biden’s government does not want to end the war, quite the opposite.

For this reason, the quadrilateral summit that was supposed to bring together the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, and President Biden in Amman on Wednesday was canceled; to that of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.

They noted that Arab leaders recognized that the meeting would lead to no progress toward ending the war.

In a sharp speech after the Israeli attack on a hospital in Gaza, Abbas criticized the northern power.

Over the years, he stressed, dozens of decisions have been made to protect our people internationally, but “they have not been implemented because the United States did not want to implement them.” (Source:PL)
