Fausto Silva’s son speaks about the invitation to work with his father

João Guilherme Silva was a guest on the Caras podcast last Friday (20). In his participation, Fausto Silva’s son spoke about the end of the Faustão na Band program. The boy also told how he found out he would be cohosting the show and what it was like cohosting alongside journalist Anne Lottermann after his father left.

The presenter’s youngest son said he moved to Switzerland to study and received a call and an invitation from his father to take part in his program at Band. “I thought he was telling me to work on understanding television… in the second take they said, ‘You’re going on stage.’ I took a beating at the beginning, so this madness began. Everyone has their own story,” he remembers.

He claims he doesn’t know the end date of the program

João Guilherme also stressed that he did not know how long the attraction would remain on air, but that everything happened very quickly. According to him, it was agreed between the broadcaster and the presenter that there should be daily programming for two consecutive years until the switch to Sunday.

João reveals the reason for Faustão’s exit from the program

“He couldn’t keep it up for two years, after a year and a half he said: ‘I’m tired, I can’t do this anymore’.” Just us [João Guilherme e Anne Lottermann] took over and didn’t know how long it would take, no one said anything. It was a bit boring, working without knowing what I was going to do until when. We played the program until the last day, we did well, we managed to keep the audience,” he revealed.
