Seventeen aid trucks crossed Egypt’s Rafah border crossing on Sunday toward the Gaza Strip, bombed and besieged by Israel, the second convoy in two days destined for the Palestinian territory since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas.
On Saturday, after the first convoy of 20 trucks passed through, the United Nations estimated that its cargo represented just 4% of Gaza’s daily imports before the war began and that at least 100 trucks a day would be needed to reach the 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip, half of them children who were deprived of everything.
