Because the suspension is for fewer than six games and the hearing is not in person, Commissioner Gary Bettman has the final say on the matter, rather than an independent arbitrator.
As a reminder, Andersson was suspended for a head hit on Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine on Friday evening. The latter will be evaluated daily for an upper body injury, according to Ohio-based training.
This season, Andersson has picked up three points in five games while maintaining a +1 lead.
