Snowfall in Calgary and beyond

Among the regions most affected by this sudden change in weather, Calgary stands out with snowfall of 10 to 15 centimeters on Tuesday. It will snow particularly heavily on Monday, with significant snow accumulations expected. This situation promises to bring wintry charm to the city, but also requires increased vigilance on the streets.

AB3 SNOW FORECAST

For these western regions, these weather conditions represent a marked contrast to the previous week. While temperatures not long ago reached 20 to 25 °C, this first cold wave marks the beginning of winter. Although heavy snowfall in October is not an entirely unknown phenomenon, the expected amounts would exceed the average for the entire month of October, which is typically around 12 cm.

AB5 NORMAL SNOW

In the east of the continent, however, the trend is completely different. A peak will extend into Quebec, causing mercury to rise up to 10° above seasonal norms.
