For Catherine and Laurent, all risks are allowed. The duo dared to do a daring choreography this Sunday revolutionwhich urged Mel Charlot to save her.

When they faced Madini, Catherine and Laurent played all their cards face to face. “We don’t have that many boundaries,” said the duo’s dancer. We use our bodies optimally. The only limitation is our physical strength. Laurent weighs a certain amount of weight that I can’t necessarily lift all the time or in all possible ways. But we use our strength and our circus techniques, which are different from dance. We also like to explore through movement and add surprising elements to the dancers.”

For their first audition, the duo focused on the duality of male and female powers and created reverse choreography. “We stayed in the same spirit,” analyzed Laurent. Through training it became more and more clear to us that I was also capable of carrying Catherine, and so we wanted to use her power and mine to propose something new that we had never done before.
The fact that they both come from the circus seems to be an advantage for them, which Catherine still wants to mitigate. “We have completely different backgrounds [de celui] Dancers, she explained. We have techniques in the areas of dance, acrobatics, movement, theater… It is a more comprehensive training. But Revolution remains a dance competition, and everything will depend on what the masters want to see. That’s what we’re trying to find to get as far as possible.”

What is certain is that the duo does not spare each other. Several moments of her final choreography could have been moments of revolution. “We are new to this industry, so we are doing everything we can to make sure we pass every single stage,” confirmed Laurent.
In the end, the Masters still decided to keep Madini in the competition, but Mel Charlot saved them with his save button. “It was a big surprise that she was the one who saved us,” Catherine admitted. I really appreciated his gesture.”
