Matt Cardona shares his thoughts on TNA’s Impact Wrestling rebrand

Matt Cardona looks ahead

Impact wrestling

It was officially announced at Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory event that the company will be rebranding back to its original name, TNA Wrestling, in January 2024, which will begin the transition back at the Hard to Kill event. It was a decision by management to unify the history of the company, which has used several names throughout its existence, and it certainly got the wrestling world talking.

While some fans and experts have questioned the decision to revert to an old name, Matt Cardona takes an opposite opinion and supports the announcement, but also praises the direction the company has taken.

“TNA will be a must in professional wrestling,” Cardona continued X, formerly known as Twitter. “@IMPACTWRESTLING has great TV shows and an even better locker room.”

Cardona was actually part of the Bound for Glory event and took part in the Call Your Shot fight. The former WWE superstar doesn’t have an official contract with the company, but he spent a lot of time working for them in his post-WWE years, which is why he has so much insight into the locker room they’ve put together. However, it remains to be seen whether the former Impact Digital Media champion will be part of next year’s rebrand.

The company used the TNA name from 2004 until 2017, when the rebranding to Impact Wrestling began, but advertising is already making the new name known, with TNA-branded T-shirts available for purchase for fans excited about the upcoming change be happy.
