An American woman from Atlanta who had to cut short her vacation after receiving an alarming call from her neighbors was surprised to discover that her family’s home had been accidentally reduced to rubble by a company with the wrong address.
“It’s just hard to believe that someone would think they have the right to throw something on the floor and walk away without saying, ‘I’m sorry.'” What should I do to fix the problem? It was an accident.” They gave me nothing […] I end up with a big mess,” Susan Hodgson angrily lamented in an interview with Fox 5 Atlanta on Friday.

During her recent vacation, the owner said she received a worrying call from her neighbors asking if she had hired a company to demolish the family home – thankfully vacant – that had belonged to her family for at least four decades. , the woman continued.
“I said, ‘No,’ and she said, ‘Well, there’s someone here who just tore the whole house down,'” the homeowner continued.
However, when the neighbor confronted workers at the You Call It, We Haul It company, they told her to shut up and mind her own business, the woman said.
However, since she was abroad, the owner would then have visited a family member who would have been on site to find out about the matter and to see the company’s demolition permit.
“He said, ‘Ah, I’m at the wrong address.’ He just packed up and left,” the woman sighed to Fox5 Atlanta, adding that she still hasn’t heard from the company about the issue to fix it or even just apologize.
Fortunately, no one was still living in the house when it was demolished, although the family took care to keep the grounds clean, mow the lawn, and pay taxes on the property.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, the company said in a statement to WAGA-TV that it is investigating the incident and working toward a resolution.
