The Kangoo, which inaugurated the high-roof station wagon segment with a unique and practical design and which featured a sliding side door for the first time, quickly became a true success story, with more than 4.4 million vehicles sold and for 25 years in 50 countries. around the world.

Since 1997, the Renault factory in Maubiege (France) has been producing the Kangoo for the rest of the world, with special attention to vehicles that go to the land of the rising sun.

Of all the countries where the Kangoo is sold, Japan is the one that celebrates it in the most original way. Enthusiasm for this vehicle grew quickly. In 2008, fans decided to organize a meeting to share their passion for the French car with as many people as possible.

The Kangoo Jamboree took place for the 14th time this year and is the world’s largest gathering of Renault Kangoo vehicles.

This year, more than 5,000 visitors came to see the almost 2,000 Kangoo models on display and witness the presentation of the new Renault Grand Kangoo and the new small local series in Urban Grey.

The President of Renault Japan, Mr. Junpei Ogawa, and the Mayor of Yamanaka-ko City, in the presence of Heinz-Jürgen Löw, Senior Vice President of Renault LCV, Thierry Plantegenest, Sales and Marketing Director of Renault LCV, and Florent Pichereau, Kangoo Product Launch Managers, Renault LCV, gave the official starting signal for this new edition.
