A Fazenda 2023: Gil Comments On Sheherazade's Statement Splash

Gil do Vigor used his Instagram account this evening (23) to comment on a statement made by Rachel Sheherazade, who was excluded from A Fazenda 2023 (Record), about her salary at the time as a journalist for SBT.

Rachel Sheherazade said that the salary of “around” R$200,000 she received while working at SBT was not enough to buy her own houseand stated that it was not a million dollar amount.

Gil commented on the matter in a profile on a news site that reiterated the statement. “I apologize for interjecting into Rachel’s statement, and I know no one asked for my opinion, but I’m going to express it anyway because I think it’s important to highlight that Rachel’s income, even taking into account of discounts and taxes, was really 200,000 per month (if what they say is true) (comment), she would earn more than 99% of Brazilians, according to IBGE data, which shows that a Brazilian who earns more than 28,000 earned, already in the 1% with the highest salaries.

“So it seems Rachel has neglected to seek financial advice and I say to everyone, it’s important to look after your money because this song is real: Money in hand is a whirlwind,” he added.

What did Sheherazade say?

The journalist addressed the topic in an interview with Link Podcast.

“There are several discounts and taxes to be paid by legal entities… In fact, despite my salary, I was still unable to provide my services.” [o sonho da casa própria]… The salary was not a millionaire.
