McDonald’s sparked outrage in 2021 when the fast food chain quietly discontinued its popular all-day breakfast option.
Now a former former Maccas manager has revealed the real reason you can no longer devour a Sausage McMuffin and hash brown at five in the afternoon.
Speaking to Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson on their KIIS FM radio show Tuesday morning, the manager said kitchen space matters.
“You only have so much scope to prepare.” “It just ends up being tedious,” he began.
“In your prep area, for example, you have the right breads for your Quarter Pounders, your Big Macs and your cheeseburgers.”

He continued, “Then suddenly there have to be McMuffins and egg trays in there.”
‘Yes that is correct. How hard is it?’ Kyle, 52, exclaimed.
“Way too hard.” McDonald’s designed it like a Ferrari, like a well-oiled machine, and throwing those McMuffins in there? “Not good,” the mystery manager insisted.
But Kyle didn’t let up, saying McDonald’s managed to offer an all-day and evening breakfast menu for three years before they discontinued it.
Bruno explained it in words Kyle could understand: ‘Do you know what it’s like? It’s like you’re having breakfast and you’ve got Gordie in the studio trying to do his show too.’

McDonald’s sparked outrage on social media in 2021 when it announced it would no longer serve breakfast items after noon.
A McDonald’s spokeswoman told Chron Australia at the time: “Our breakfast menu will be available until midday in restaurants and 10.30am through McDelivery to better meet customer needs at other peak times.”
“By adjusting our all-day breakfast schedule, we hope to reduce the time our customers may have to wait for other items during the afternoon and evening rushes.
“Whilst we understand that a number of customers will be disappointed, our breakfast menu will continue to be available daily until lunchtime in the restaurant and until 10:30am via McDelivery.”
The mystery manager said McDonald’s food preparation area was like a “well-oiled machine” and adding McMuffins was too “tedious.”
