For more than a century, radiation has played an invisible, useful and often vital role in industry and food safety.

Whether in the disinfection of medical devices, pest control through the sterilization technique of cores, fresh produce or the reinforcement of industrial polymers, this technology is an essential part of the modern world.

Once this requalification period is over, they will work on the Nuclear Research Reactor Complex, part of the Center for Research and Development in Nuclear Technology, which is being built in the city of El Alto, it said.

The basic requirement for candidates is a master’s degree in physics and atomic engineering or a comparable degree in electronics; Radio technology and communication systems, in electromechanics or related areas.

Graduates with a degree in electronics, telecommunications, mechatronics or related disciplines are also invited; Mechanical engineering, electromechanics or electrical engineering, among other professions and specialist areas in this area.

At the end of September, an expert mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), led by engineer Vivian Pereira, visited the country with the aim of strengthening the activities of the highland state’s regulatory authority for nuclear safety and radiation protection.

Pereira’s visit to Bolivia coincided with the participation of Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energy Franklin Molina and Hortensia Jiménez, Executive Director of ABEN, at the 67th General Conference of the IAEA in Vienna, Austria.
