The Saskatchewan Roughriders will not offer head coach Craig Dickenson a new contract.

That’s the end of the regular season for the Roughriders, who are on leave for the 21st and final week of activities on the Ambrosie circuit. Dickenson had been at the helm of the team since the 2019 season. The latter also missed the playoffs in 2022.

The man who was running backs coach for the Montreal Alouettes in 2003 was out of contract and publicly took the blame for the Riders’ failures. They finished their campaign with a record of 6-12.

The Roughriders also said they have offered general manager and vice president of football operations Jeremy O’Day a contract extension.

Elsewhere in the CFL, six clubs, including the Alouettes, will finish their regular seasons this weekend. The Sparrows host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Percival-Molson Stadium. A week later, the two teams will meet again at the same location in the Eastern semifinals.
