Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman In Me was released on Tuesday, October 24th.
In her book, the pop star refers to Madonna 18 times and raves about the icon.
Britney, 41, spoke about how Madonna visited her after her devastating split from Justin Timberlake.
“One of my few visitors during this strange, surreal time was Madonna. “She entered the house and of course the room was immediately hers,” recalls the mother of two.
“I remember thinking, ‘This is Madonna’s room now. Stunningly beautiful, she radiated strength and confidence,” she added.
“Madonna’s supreme confidence helped me see my situation with fresh eyes.” I think she probably had an intuitive sense of what I was going through. I needed a little guidance back then. I was confused about my life. “She tried to be a mentor to me,” Britney wrote in her memoir, according to Just Jared.

She revealed she was devastated when Justin broke up with her and the couple split in 2002 after three years of dating.
She also revealed that she had an abortion with ex Justin at 19 after becoming pregnant at 19 – and claimed the “torturous” decision was made by him because he wasn’t “ready to be a father”.
In her memoir, the star admitted that she cheated on him by making out with choreographer Wade Robson.
Britney claimed Justin allegedly cheated on her with “one of the girls from All Saints” in London in 2000 and also “bragged” to one of her back dancers about a girl he “had sex with in Las Vegas.”
The star also talked about wanting to be like Madonna, Dolly Parton or Whitney Houston as a little girl.
“I was a little girl with big dreams,” the Louisiana-born star said.
“I also had simpler dreams, dreams that seemed even harder to achieve and that felt too ambitious to say out loud: I wanted my father to stop drinking.” I want my mother to stop screaming. “I want everyone to be well,” she wrote.
Britney said that growing up she wanted to be more like Madonna and be her own advocate – something Madonna also does.
One thing Madonna highlighted about the music industry was how it is “fake” for men, noting that “nice” people are being “completely destroyed” by it.
“By this point I was almost two nice people,” she wrote.
As her career grew, Britney said she would meet Madonna at awards shows and greeted each other like friends.
The “Oops… I Did It Again” star said Madonna helped her learn more about Kabbalah – and also introduced her to Kabbalah.
“Madonna had a good effect on me in many ways.” She told me that I should definitely take a break for my soul, and I tried to do that. She embodied a kind of strength that I needed to see.’

About the infamous kiss between Madonna, Britney and Christina Aguilera, the star originally said in rehearsals that it was just an air kiss.
Britney said they really should kiss for a memorable moment – minutes before the actual performance.
In the end, it stole the show when Oprah Winfrey also asked about the iconic kiss.
They then collaborated on their song Me Against The Music, released in 2003.
Her now-released memoir, The Woman In Me, also describes her “crazy grief” after her devastating breakup with Justin, the death of her aunt and the loss of custody of her children to Kevin.
