A young Australian woman had the culinary shock of her life when she discovered a dead frog in a bag of spinach she had just bought.
Simone Baker posted a TikTok video to share her discovery when there was a frog underneath the pasta and spinach dish she bought at Woolworths.
“Woolies, the fresh food specialist, left a fresh frog in my spinach. There’s nothing cooler than that,” she joked in disgust.
Ms Baker said she had been “traumatised” by the discovery.
However, many netizens did not take Ms. Baker’s mishap seriously.
“In France it’s a delicacy.”
“Can you give us the recipe?” I already have the frog.”

A Woolworths spokeswoman said it was investigating the incident, the New York Post reports.
“Our supplier conducted numerous quality checks on this batch of spinach leaves and did not detect any foreign matter during processing,” it says.
“We take all feedback from our customers seriously and understand that this must have been an unpleasant surprise for this customer,” the spokesperson added.
