The majority of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs support the Legault government’s desire to build new hydroelectric plants.
“Three out of five SME managers support the construction of new dams. They are patting the prime minister on the back,” François Vincent, Quebec vice-president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), assured LCN, reporting the results of a survey conducted by his organization.
The government has already mentioned several times that Quebec could need around a hundred terawatt hours (TWh) more by 2050 to meet its needs.

At the same time, companies assure that they are prepared to make a contribution to energy consumption. According to the survey “63% [des PME] “We want to participate in programs to reduce their consumption during peak periods,” emphasized the vice president.
