Bare arms will soon be a thing of the past. Quebec will trade short sleeves for coats as we will experience a sudden drop in temperature in the coming days. Forecast.
While temperatures in Quebec will hover around 20°C in the coming days, a regime change will quickly bring cold air. This results in a loss of around ten degrees.
Summer again?
The next two days will be pleasant for outdoor play and field clearing as the province will see maximum temperatures of around 20°C. Children can jump into the leaf piles without mittens until a change in diet occurs.
Brutal freshness
It will be cool when you wake up on Sunday morning. This freshness will surprise Quebecers who have been used to a much milder, even summery, mercury for several days. “We will see a regime change. After the return of mild weather in the southernmost parts of Quebec, we will see a rapid drop in temperature,” explains Nicolas Lessard, meteorologist. With temperatures reaching 20°C in places, the weekend will instead see temperatures below 10°C, i.e. below normal. This leads to a feeling of cold.
And in the longer term?
The month of November should see a mercury in the normal range, with a jet stream well positioned over Quebec. In the next 10 days there could well be the first frost in Montreal and the first snowflakes could appear in southern Quebec.
