The time has come. Victor Wembanyama, the most hyped NBA prospect since LeBron James, will make his regular-season debut on Wednesday night when the San Antonio Spurs host the Dallas Mavericks in both teams’ 2023-24 season opener. Tipoffs will take place at 9:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
Wembanyama’s debut has been anticipated for more than a year, especially after two exhibition games in the Las Vegas area last October, when Wembanyama faced off with Scoot Henderson, another top pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Wembanyama excelled in his French league games before traveling to the US for the June draft and playing in the Las Vegas Summer League and NBA preseason. Each time he added another highlight – often doing things we’re not used to on an NBA basketball court.

Of course, Wembanyama would score his first points with a deep ball. He also has two early rebounds and a big block in five minutes in his debut.
He then made another three-pointer in the first quarter before being subbed off for two fouls.
