The China National Space Administration (CNSA) has signed cooperation documents with the space agencies of Pakistan and Belarus to cooperate under the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) program.

This new cooperation marks the beginning of Pakistan and Belarus’ participation in the ILRS program, ANEC said. The program was launched by China by inviting a large number of organizations and scientists from around the world to participate.

In the new MoU signed by ANEC and the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, both sides will carry out comprehensive and in-depth cooperation and establish expert groups in the areas of demonstration, technical implementation, operation and application of ILRS.

According to the joint statement signed by ANEC and the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, both sides will cooperate comprehensively and intensively in the construction and operation of the ILRS, including the application of space technologies, new materials and electronic components. as well as the training and further education of researchers and specialists.

China has long cooperated with the two countries in the space field, ANEC said.

Construction of the ILRS is expected to occur in three phases, with the basic design of the station expected to be completed by 2030.
