“The UN Security Council is proving once again that it is unable to stop the massacre of the Palestinian people. Your emergency meeting today ended without agreeing to either of the two proposed resolutions,” he posted on his X account.
According to the Cuban foreign minister, the United States presented a proposal that “deliberately omitted the call for a ceasefire and the need to stop the massacre, protect the civilian population and stop the forced displacement.”

Rodríguez Parrilla, in turn, denounced that Washington’s “irresponsibility” in dealing with this crisis and its support for Israel’s “unacceptable” actions led to the initiative rejected by the Security Council.
