“In the next decade I will start a company” – Julie Bélanger – TVA Nouvelles

The host of It’s a good end to the weekJulie Bélanger, who will appear as Barbie for the show’s Halloween special this Friday, is about to cross the fifty-year milestone, and she has every intention of spending it in the spirit of creation.

“In the next decade, I’m going to build a business,” she said from the makeup chair last week, minutes before I showed up on the set for the taping of her talk show, which was occasionally adorned with werewolf busts and gargoyles.

After the success of her documentary series Imparfaite, which aired on Vrai last winter, Julie Bélanger says she has many other ideas she wants to push forward and produce.

“I have a lot of ideas like this on my computer. I don’t know at the moment what form it will take, maybe I won’t be the one animating, and that’s okay. I want to bring the projects I have in mind into the world,” she added.

At the top of her 11th season of “The Week Ends Well,” Julie Bélanger has no intention of packing up her things, not as long as she enjoys hosting, but above all because she wants to age at the same time.

“50 is 50, and that’s absolutely right. I’m proud of getting older and, especially in my profession, it’s hard for women, but I dare to hope that things will change,” she said, citing as an example the appointment of Mélanie Maynard to animate Sucré Salé.

“I feel like doors are opening and I want to be one of those who will open them. To show that we get better with age! “I fully intend to continue,” said the host.

It Ends the Week Well’s Halloween special premieres this Friday at 7 p.m. on TVA. Rosalie Bonenfant, Normand D’Amour and Mathieu Dufour will take their turn in costumes.
