A Hamas delegation visited Moscow on Thursday for talks on the release of foreign hostages, particularly Russians, captured by the Palestinian Islamist group during its attacks in Israel, the Russian Foreign Ministry said, citing news agencies.

Hamas released its own statement praising the efforts of President Vladimir Putin and the Foreign Ministry aimed to put an end to “Israel’s Western-backed crimes,” according to the RIA agency.
The spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharovasaid during his weekly press conference that Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Baghiri Kani, who is in charge of nuclear negotiations, was also in the Russian capital and spoke with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.
