Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid skated alone on Thursday and could be in his team’s lineup for Sunday’s outdoor game.
The hockey prodigy suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets and missed his team’s final two games.
“He went ice skating today [jeudi] and he had a good day,” Oilers head coach Jay Woodcroft said, as reported by nhl.com. We have until our next game and will see how he does. It’s a good sign that he skated.”
“He knows his body better than anyone,” the pilot added. […] I wouldn’t rule it out [qu’il soit de notre formation], but I’m not saying he will play or not. We still have time until the game on Sunday.

The Oilers will face the Calgary Flames in the seventh National Hockey League (NHL) Heritage Classic at Commonwealth Stadium.
McDavid had two goals and six assists for eight points in five games before getting injured. We bet the Oilers would like to find their captain quickly after a very poor start to the season. In seven games so far in the 2023-24 season, the Alberta club has maintained a poor record of 1-5-1.
