Israel reveals what Hamas terror base looks like beneath Gaza’s largest hospital: Video shows a labyrinth of underground tunnels and war rooms that serves as a militant group’s headquarters

Israel has revealed what a Hamas terror base hidden beneath Gaza’s largest hospital looks like. A video shows a maze of underground tunnels and war rooms that serve as the headquarters of a militant group.

An “intelligence-based illustration” released by the Jewish nation’s military shows an eerie network of corridors and rooms deep beneath the buildings where innocent people are being treated.

The IDF claims that Shifa Hospital – the largest medical complex in the Gaza Strip – actually houses the terrorist organization’s headquarters.

Images show armories, storage rooms and armed guards patrolling the network of corridors.

This came after Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations said that “the only way to destroy Hamas is to drive it out of its tunnels and its underground city of terror.”

Hamas has rejected Israeli claims that it is using hospitals as a shield for underground military infrastructure, saying these claims “lack any truth.”

The IDF wrote on social media: “Shifa Hospital is not only the largest hospital in Gaza, but also acts as a headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activities.”

“Terrorism does not belong in a hospital and the IDF will do everything it can to expose any terrorist infrastructure.”

The Israelis have fired “bunker buster” concussion rockets to try to destroy Hamas’s extensive network of tunnels beneath Gaza, according to a report.

And experts claim the terror group has used hospitals and innocent Palestinians as “shields,” using their deaths to further its own cause against Israel.

Colonel Philip Ingram, a former British military intelligence officer, told Web: “Israel will specifically target areas where Hamas is concentrated or has military facilities.”

“What Hamas is doing now is putting these military facilities in civilian buildings.” Hamas wants civilians to die.

The IDF said tonight it would expand its bombing campaign against Gaza and “work vigorously in all dimensions” to achieve its military objectives

“They want the world to see images of women and children being carried out of the rubble after an attack.”

“Israel responds in proportion to the threat and takes great care to reduce the number of civilian casualties as much as possible.”

“But because Hamas uses the Palestinian people as human shields, civilian casualties are not inevitable.”

With the Israeli airstrike, the IDF warned Palestinian civilians still living in the Gaza Strip to move south as quickly as possible amid fears that the long-awaited ground invasion of the enclave could take place within hours.

Hamas returned fire with a barrage of rockets, but it was not known how many were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.

The terror group also called on people in the West Bank and the “1948 territories” – a term Palestinians use for Israel in reference to the period of its founding – to take up arms if Israel’s ground invasion begins.

Hamas reportedly said it held Israel, the US and Western nations that support Israel “fully responsible for the series of heinous massacres” against the people of Gaza

It was not clear whether the latest development in the bloodiest conflict between Hamas and Israel was a threat of a full-scale invasion or a larger but similar “investigation” to those launched on Wednesday and Thursday evenings which the troops returned at dawn.
