The hotel was the scene of the death of Playboy model Stephanie Adams after she and her seven-year-old son fell from the hotel’s 25th floor.

Adams was married to the boy’s father, Manhattan-based chiropractor Charles Nicolai, and was in the middle of a bitter custody battle.

Mother and son checked into the Gotham Hotel around 6 p.m. and jumped out of the 25th floor penthouse before 8:30 a.m.

Authorities said she pushed her 7-year-old son, Vincent, out of a 25th-floor hotel window before jumping to her death.

The two landed on a second floor balcony and were pronounced dead at the scene.

A doorman, who said his name was Shaun, told the Post he suspected Adams had pushed her young child out the window.

“I suspect the boy went first. The mother simply threw the child out first and then followed him. “(Guests) said they first heard a light noise, then a heavier noise,” he said. “I’m still shocked about it.”

It didn’t appear as if Adams had left a suicide note.

Adams received $1.2 million from the NYPD after she sued the department over a 2006 incident in which she was thrown to the ground by a police officer who falsely claimed she had pointed a gun at him.

Adams and her ex were also sued in 2013 by Dilek Edwards, a former massage therapist at Nicolai’s practice.

In November 1992, Adams took center stage in Playboy, claiming at the time to be the first openly lesbian Playmate.

However, on her website she claims to have dated several famous men, including Elite Modeling founder John Casablancas, Calvin Klein supermodel Ted Stephenson and Robert De Niro.

She met her husband on Match.com and the two got engaged in 2009. Adams was the one who filed for divorce in 2017.
