The Bolivian President congratulates Lula da Silva on his birthday

“Dear President @LulaOficial of the Plurinational State of #Bolivia, we warmly hug you on your birthday. The #PatriaGrande celebrates your life and supports your fight for a world with more social justice. “Congratulations!” wrote the dignitary on his X account (formerly Twitter).

The two heads of state met at the end of August last year on the sidelines of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit in Johannesburg, where they analyzed and presented the cooperation between the two nations.

“We held an important meeting with the brother president of #Brazil, @LulaOficial. “We are working to implement a comprehensive bilateral agenda of physical, water and energy integration and mutual cooperation,” Arce said at the time.

In addition, the highland country expressed its willingness to join the BRICS, a group promoting a multipolar world of which Brazil is a founding member.

The South American giant maintains close political and economic ties with the Andean Amazon.

As part of their efforts to impose multipolarity in international relations, the BRICS countries have set their sights on emerging market states, a forecast that is consistent with Bolivia’s aspirations.

In this sense, the Arce-led government is committed to finding markets for its exports and strategic partners in key sectors such as the industrialization of lithium, whose reserves reach 23 million tons.
