Hundreds of properties in Quebec change hands every day, most of them without us knowing the exact details. That was before we became interested… Here are the latest transactions that caught our attention.

A bungalow similar in appearance to the others located in Hampstead, a small but affluent community in Montreal, has just sold for $2.5 million.

House 148, rue Finchley, built in 1960, offers its residents a living space of 236.4 m2 on a plot of land that is almost three times larger (669 m2).

The previous owner purchased this residence in the fall of 2019 for $1,625,000. Four years later, she managed to sell it for $875,000, 53% more than four years earlier.

At last appraisal, this residence was valued at $1,772,400. This represented a 32% increase compared to the previous valuation ($1,342,700).

Added to the buyer’s purchase price is a transfer tax of $65,058 payable to the seceded township of Hampstead.
