Attack on Titan unveils final trailer – Anime Corner

Attack on Titan has released a final trailer for the anime series, the final episode of which is scheduled to air on November 4th. Studio MAPPA animates the series under the direction of Yuichiro Hayashi. Linked Horizon, the band behind the theme songs for the anime’s first three seasons, will be back one last time for the opening theme song and Ai Higuchi sings “Itterasshai / See You Later” as the closer.

The trailer was announced yesterday, along with information that the final episode will be an hour and 25 minutes long. The previous one, licensed as Attack on Titan Final Season THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special, lasted 61 minutes.

Linked Horizon’s new song “The Last Titan” will be released in Japan on November 5th, after the premiere of the finale. The title song, also by Linked Horizon, entitled “Nisennen… Moshiku wa… Nimannengo no Kimi e… / Two Thousand Years… Or… 20,000 Years From Now…” is included. The album cover is available now, along with a new artist photo from REVO, the singer and songwriter behind Linked Horizon. For the anime, he wrote the well-known songs “Guren no Yumiya” and “Shinzo wo Sasageyo,” among other songs.

The final theme song’s singer, Ai Higuchi, is known for “Akuma no Ko”, the final theme song of Attack on Titan Part 2. She previously revealed how the song was written and explained that it is not the only one from Attack on Titan was inspired.

To celebrate the conclusion of the anime, the franchise is hosting an online event “Attack on Titan: After Party.” The event will bring fans 17 interesting things – from cast interviews to staff meetings, which include Yuichiro Hayashi, Hiroyuki Sawano, Shintaro Kawakubo (the manga editor) and more. Tickets are on sale now for 3000 JPY.

In addition to the event, the series will also receive its first art book, scheduled for release in April 2024. The book will feature full-color illustrations but also a new 18-page story called Bad Boy. The cover illustration features Levi, Gabi and Falco and the first four pages will be revealed on October 30th.

Attack on Titan is based on a manga series by Hajime Isayama that was published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The manga ended in April 2021 after 139 chapters compiled into 34 volumes. The last, 34th volume was released in June 2021. The manga received an anime adaptation by WIT Studio in 2013. Season 2 was released in 2017, followed by the third season, which was divided into two courses. The first course aired in summer 2018, while the second launched in April 2019. Studio MAPPA took over the franchise for the 4th season, which was titled “Attack on Titan Final Season”. It began broadcasting in December 2020 and consisted of a total of 16 episodes. After broadcasting in March 2021, part 2 was announced. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 began in January last year.
