Hundreds of properties in Quebec change hands every day, most of them without us knowing the exact details. That was before we became interested… Here are the latest transactions that caught our attention.
A Chelsea residence in the Outaouais has just found a buyer in a bidding war for $2,275,000, $75,000 more than the asking price in recent weeks.
This single-story residence, a stone’s throw from Gatineau Park, offers its new owners 343.6 m2 of living space. It features, among other things, high ceilings, a courtyard with an elevated swimming pool and a staircase described by its sellers as sculptural. The house stands on a spacious plot of almost two hectares or 8001.3 m2.

The previous owners purchased this residence in 2011 for $985,000. When it came back on the market in 2022, sellers had it listed for more than double that, $2,200,000. The transaction ultimately ended in a bidding war for $2,275,000.
In the most recent Valuation Cast #8, Chemin des Hauts-Bois was assigned a value of $1,715,800. This was an increase of 38%, or $479,800, from the valuation of his previous role ($1,236,000).
In 2023, the municipal taxes for this bungalow were $10,155. For buyers, a $45,230 transfer tax payable to the City of Chelsea will be added to the purchase price.
