Boston Bruins forward Jakub Lauko posted a photo of his face on Friday, three days after he was hit by a skate.
During a clash against the Blackhawks in Chicago, the 23-year-old hockey player suffered a severe cut near one eye from Jason Dickinson’s equipment.

The Czech’s eye is very swollen and numerous stitches have been placed a few millimeters away from the organ to enable him to see. Luckily it doesn’t appear to have been affected.
It is currently unknown how long Lauko will be kept away from National Hockey League rinks. The bone around his eye is broken and doctors need to let the swelling go down before they can make a further diagnosis.
In his career on the Bettman circuit, the Bruins skater found the target four times and had three assists for seven points in 29 games. Lauko was selected by the Boston club in the third round (77th overall) of the 2018 amateur auction.
