Challenge Manager! – Neomedia Vaudreuil-Soulanges

Phew, being a manager isn’t always easy! The burden of healthy and smooth leadership rests on our shoulders. But how can we continue to focus on the future and accessibility?

How to logistically identify all the needs of the organization (i.e. staffing and training, emphasis on collaboration between partners, different public/private levels, policies to apply depending on budget constraints/cuts, our questions about current management and what it entails). like the vision and our actions to take? Running an organization definitely means being a manager… of challenges! Challenges that multiply and that can cause real headaches.

Everyone around us has a few pieces of this puzzle. But how can we bring together the best of expertise from our ideas to create pure value, a gem? Promote the spirit of common development, thereby guiding our team on the path of cooperation.

We must gradually convince each member that by sharing their resources they can enrich themselves and, in addition, that the expertise of the entire team is optimized. In this process, everyone understands that it is not necessary to covet each other’s assets.

And you are just as popular! There can only be one master on board to reorient himself, but in this spirit of collaborative development, the manager chooses to give his team the freedom to present new ideas consistent with the company’s philosophy.

A budget to respect, cuts to recover! Even if the announcement of cuts causes several waves, I believe that it can call into question a service orientation plan. Services that were previously offered based on diagnosis can AND no longer correspond to reality.

Despite the financial aspect, where are the actual needs? In order to be able to offer effective services, it is not primarily about determining the budget or the diagnosis, but rather about the need. Based on the observations you and your team make, and with our support, you will be able to clearly identify needs and deliver accordingly.

Rest assured, we are aware that the financial aspect cannot be definitively ruled out. For this reason, the service offerings are diverse and are often accompanied by subsidized measures, but they all pursue the same goal: to meet needs.

Investments in training are also an important topic. Every year we welcome speakers from the school community. On average, the investment is not worth it as it turns out to be very expensive at the individual rate.

The same training courses could be offered at a fixed price to an unlimited group of speakers from the same institution. Let’s look at developing practices that give us access internally to quality and speed of service rather than short-term savings.

The role of a challenge manager is a dynamic task that requires constant searching. BUT, first and foremost, we must be PROACTIVE and attentive to service and learning opportunities that allow us to be specific about our goals and then ACHIEVE them.
