Martin Scorsese noted that in his opinion their situation was very different since Quentin Tarantino wrote all of his films while relying on other people’s scripts.

“He’s a screenwriter. It’s different, he said. I make up stories. I am drawn to stories through other people. We have different ways of doing things, different ways. And that’s why I think it’s a different process… I respect the writers and wish I could do it. I wish I could just be in a room and write these novels, not movies, not novels.”

Quentin Tarantino had previously announced that his 10th film, titled The Movie Critic, would be his last.

Martin Scorsese released his new film Killers of the Flower Moon at age 80 and has no plans to stop.

“I’m still curious about everything,” he said. This is one of the reasons. If I’m curious about something, I think I’ll find a way. (…) I’ll try to film something from it, but the topic has to arouse my curiosity. My curiosity is still there.”

He added: “I can’t speak for Quentin Tarantino or other people who are able to create work in their world.”
