Authorities in Maine announced that the body of Lewiston shooting suspect Robert Card was discovered in a trailer at a recycling center overflow site.

This information was shared during a press conference on Saturday morning.
Robert Card’s body was found at 7:45 p.m. Friday in a trailer in the parking lot of the Maine Recycling Corporation in Lisbon, Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck said Saturday.
Mr Sauschuck also admitted that the authorities had already checked the area twice.

However, the owner insisted and asked them, “Have you checked these trailers?” Mr. Sauschuck said.
“But which trailers are you talking about?” the investigators would have replied.

Authorities then became aware of a parking lot on the other side of Capital Avenue.
After reviewing the locations they inspected, authorities concluded that the parking lot across Capital Avenue was not one of them.

Robert Card was found dead in one of the trailers in that parking lot. There were two weapons next to him.
The exact time of his death is not clear.
The discovery gave Maine residents a “collective sigh of relief,” Sen. Susan Collins said Friday.
