Chinese foreign minister holds talks with US strategists

WASHINGTON, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) — Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister, held talks with American strategists on Saturday.

Wang said that during his visit, China and the United States maintained in-depth, constructive and substantive strategic communication on various issues of common interest in an attitude of equality and mutual respect, and jointly sent a positive signal for stabilizing and improving China’s relations . -USA USA

Despite the various differences and disputes between the two countries, where many issues remain to be resolved, both sides are convinced that it is beneficial and necessary for them to maintain dialogue as two major countries.

Both sides hoped to stabilize and improve bilateral relations as quickly as possible and agreed to work together toward a summit between the two leaders in San Francisco.

Meanwhile, the road to San Francisco is not easy and cannot be left on “autopilot,” the Chinese foreign minister said.

To this end, both sides should seriously return to what was agreed at the Bali summit, truly implement the consensus of the two leaders, eliminate interference, overcome obstacles, improve consensus and collect results, Wang said.

He appreciated the participants’ participation and commitment to the development of China-US relations.

He invited them to visit China more frequently and encouraged them to continue to express rational voices to play a constructive role in helping American society develop objective views on China, correct differences and disputes between the two countries address and manage and contribute more wisely to the healthy, stable and sustainable development of China-US relations.

Participants said that a stable relationship between the US and China is in the interest of both sides.
