Internet connections in the Gaza Strip were restored on Sunday after being disrupted during heavy Israeli shelling on Friday, network watchdog Netblocks and a local operator said.
“Real-time network data shows internet connectivity is being restored in Gaza,” Netblocks noted on X (formerly Twitter).
Paltel, the largest telephone company operating in the Gaza Strip, and its subsidiary Jawwal also announced on Facebook “the gradual return of communications services (landlines, mobile phones and Internet) that were cut off in the Gaza Strip due to the attack on Friday evening.”
An AFP official confirmed that he was able to access the internet and mobile networks and contact other people in the area.
