Many members of the Jewish community gathered in downtown Montreal on Sunday to demand the immediate release of hundreds of Hamas hostages.

The emotions were palpable in Victoria Square, where a sea of Israeli flags flew.

The CJA association, which organized the rally, is calling for 220 prisoners, including 30 children, to regain their freedom. The organization says Canadians are involved.
“Bring them home,” shouted the demonstrators, who came in their thousands, according to the association.
“There is a 9-month-old baby, 3-year-old children who are alone, who saw their parents massacred, and who are now in the hands of a terrorist group. It is urgent,” Eta Yudin, vice-president of the Quebec chapter of the Advisory Center for Jewish and Israeli Relations, told the Journal.
