Chinese brewer Tsingtao Brewery recently announced that it had called the police after gaining access to a video in which an employee allegedly urinated in one of the ingredient tanks. The company is the second largest in the industry in the country and one of the bestknown beverage brands with a strong presence in bars and restaurants. The video, published by Portal, went viral on social media.

The images sparked concern among internet users that the production of beer containing these ingredients could be contaminated. The company then reported that all measures had been taken to prevent contamination.

“The batch of malt in question was completely sealed. “The company continues to strengthen its administrative procedures to ensure the quality of its products,” Tsingtao stressed. The brewery also assured that an investigation was underway.
